Sol Galarreta

Born in Argentina, Sol´s got into music at a young age. Being by then her main project the indie pop band Atlántica,, performing at the best venues in the alternative scene in the city, alongside renowned bands like El Otro Yo, Juana la Loca, or Illa Kuryaki & The Valderamas. As a solo artist she first wrote and recorded with Eduardo Balerdi (UOM) as Sistersol, "15th Floor Songs" a collection of songs that would span through time. Once in London, inspired by electronic music and the Balearic sound, decides to go to Ibiza. Captivated by the free spirit and the island's warm reception she decides to stay. Collaborating with musicians and producers like Skweewiff (Jalapeno Records) Pedigree Cuts, OMM Sounds and specially Fous de La Mer (Elektrolux/Elux) gaining global recognition (Never Stop Loving, Conmigo, Watersong). In 2000´s Sol performs also as live vocalist with DJs at venues like Manumission Hotel, Privilege, Bora Bora, Amnesia, DC10, Sa Trinxa, Blue Marlin, Nassau Beachclub, Kuhmaras, etc. and hosted her radio show on Ibiza Global Radio and Ibiza Sónica. Her most recent work, the solo album Travesías, co-produced with Emilio Haro, includes songs from all those moments, like a circular journey, with colorful influences like electronica, caribic and bossanova, tells us about travel experiences through cities and jungles in a versatile, delicate and profound manner.
