"The Lost Mithridate" made a first appearance with the single "Dream Town" from the debut EP in early 2024 taking place in the rock music scene. The story behind the Greek band's name is hidden in Greek mythology. The name is inspired by the crystal elixir - Mithridate - which, according to Greek mythology, was made by Mithridates VI. It was said that the elixir had 65 ingredients, had the property of acting as an antidote and caused immunity to poisons. So somehow the story gives the creator his own "Lost Elixir" or otherwise "The Lost Mithridate". The band's founder and singer, Lawrence Mirabitas, refers to his observation of the world, which increasingly seems to wear out and fall into lower states at a slow but steady rate that goes unnoticed as it is covered by our everyday life. There are constantly more tragedies and disturbances occurring in the world, whether near or far from us, which eventually come to seep into our psychology and wear us down like poison. He also mentions that the ability to create and imagine are the main components that can and do act as "antidotes" to this fall of man, since as long as one can imagine and create, he remains alive and can resist the "poisons" of life.
