With his hybrid hip-hop musical style and distinctive Tahrir sound, Sajjad is earning the love of his fans. This passionate musician song writer captivates his audience through the eyes of struggle and triumph. Born in Manhattan and raised in New Jersey, life was no walk in the park for Sajjad. He is the youngest of two siblings. From the young age of 15, he started writing his own music, but like most adolescents, the streets got a hold of his attention. With multiple felony convictions over a period of time, Sajjad was in and out of jail and on probation over the next few years. Sajjad's sound is a mixture of Hip-hop, R&B Soul and Pop with a twist of Tahrir style singing. It’s a Persian style of vibrating the vocal cords. When it comes to Sajjad’s greatest music influencers, family has always been his inspiration along with the greats of our time. Perhaps he inherited the family trait. His mom sang with such a beautiful soulful voice, his dad and his uncles had a band, his older brother is an incredible MC, his aunt played instruments and wrote poetry, his uncle played multiple instruments and all the uncles were well respected musicians in Iran. “In the Hip-hop culture, it would have to be Nas, Eminem, 50 Cent, Rakim, WuTang, 2 Pac, Slick Rick, Sam Cooke, Lauren Hill, Naughty by Nature, Redman and LL Cool J” said Sajjad.
