Jah Version

Gather Round is the new album from Jah Version, a project deeply rooted in sound system culture and the modern evolution of UK dub. Designed as a full listening experience, the album balances raw low-end pressure with conscious vibrations, drawing inspiration from classic dub traditions while firmly standing in a contemporary sonic landscape. Jah Version delivers heavy, stepper-influenced riddims built on deep basslines, disciplined drums and spacious arrangements. Each track leaves room for the sound system to breathe, with carefully crafted drops, echoes and textures that fully reveal themselves on big rigs. The vocals sit naturally in the mix, carrying messages of unity, awareness and resistance, inviting listeners to slow down, listen closely and truly gather round. While the album is clearly engineered for sound system sessions and late-night dances, it also translates seamlessly to home listening and long journeys. Its hypnotic grooves and immersive atmospheres create a sense of movement and focus, whether played loud through scoops or absorbed on headphones. Gather Round captures the ritual aspect of dub music: a shared moment where bass, message and collective energy meet. With this album, Jah Version affirms a strong artistic identity, bridging roots sensibilities and UK dub precision. Gather Round is not just a collection of tracks, but a statement, an invitation to connect, to feel the weight of the bass, and to let the music guide both body and mind.
