Upiór is a symphonic blackened death metal act blending ferocity, atmosphere, and ritualistic storytelling. Their music draws from extreme metal traditions while embracing orchestral depth and dark, narrative-driven compositions. After gaining critical attention with their debut album The Forest That Grieves (2022) — praised across Europe for its intensity and craftsmanship — and its symphonic counterpart released in 2024, the band pushed further into darker and more aggressive territory with the EP Predator of Fear (2025). Upiór now enters its most ambitious chapter with the double album Forefathers’ Eve, inspired by Adam Mickiewicz’s Dziady. The project presents two parallel interpretations of the same ritual: Forefathers’ Eve (Redemption) explores a grand, symphonic and cinematic vision, while Forefathers’ Eve (Damnation) strips the music down to a raw, brutal death metal core. Through this dual release, Upiór confronts the listener with two faces of the same darkness — one majestic and haunting, the other merciless and visceral. Booking: [email protected]
