Cava Grande is the solo project of Tan Tunçağ, formerly of the acclaimed indie-electronica duo Portecho. Blending melancholic synths, analog textures, and emotive vocals, his music sits somewhere between indie dance, darkwave, and cinematic electro. Since debuting with Worm Universe in 2018, Cava Grande has performed at major festivals like Sonar Istanbul and opened for HVOB. His second album Hollow Shell and its remixes (2021) deepened his emotional sound. Singles like Serenity—with an AI-generated video—and Divinity showcased new artistic directions. A collaborative track, Hinterland, followed soon after. In 2025, he released Crashing and The Great Divide—two singles from his upcoming third studio album. These, along with all recent visuals, were crafted in Unreal Engine by Tan, who’s also a professional 3D animator and video game designer. His next single, Your Silence, drops August 15.
