Born in Kingston Jamaica and raised in East London, Äyanna is a 23-year-old singer and songwriter who is poised to be one of music’s biggest breakouts with a one-of-kind sound that pushes the boundaries of pop as we know it. Sonically, her music draws from the rich sounds of her upbringing imparted on her by her English and Jamaican-born parents, a style lined with R&B, 80’s pop, soul, and reggae yet Äyanna offers a sound totally her own and simply irresistible. Early in her career, Äyanna just made her European MTV Awards debut which was undeniably an electrifying performance alongside globally renowned artists SPINALL and Nasty C of their song “Power (Remember Who You Are)” with DJ Snake. The track showcases Äyanna’s dynamic songwriting and singing prowess and the track is featured in the short film, The Flipper’s Skate Heist. The insatiable track interpolates the memorable keys from Nina Simone’s “Sinnerman” and features Summer Walker. Äyanna released her debut EP, In A Perfect World, last year. Only 8 months later, Äyanna’s EP has surpassed 6M streams worldwide.
