The Odense Symphony Orchestra is one of Denmark’s five regional orchestras. The orchestra was founded in 1946, but its roots go as far back as around 1800. From being a theatre orchestra that also played symphonic music, the orchestra today appears as a modern symphony orchestra. The orchestra is based at the Odense Concert Hall, which opened in 1982. Most of its concerts are held in the Carl Nielsen Hall, a venue known for its excellent acoustics, seating for 1,212 people, and a 46-stop organ built by Marcussen & Søn, one of the world's leading organ makers. Its chief executive is Trine Boje Mortensen From Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odense_...) under Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY-SA 3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b...)
