The story begins with a loner in the Dominican Republic (born & raised in the U.S) producing absolutely atrocious beats with pirated software in his bedroom. Due to being tortured by his own terrible production, KVMTZ spent hours on Youtube watching beatmaker tutorials recorded by people who talk too much, and listening to advice from "experts" who are full of themselves and spend 10 minutes speaking to the viewer in a condescending fashion. A year or so later, KVMTZ somehow began to attract the attention of active listeners in the Lo-Fi / Chillhop / Jazzhop community. Now armed with an arsenal of mediocre music, he started to deploy his beats on missions across the internet, and eventually landed on numerous small playlists with low amounts of listeners. The upward spiral continues even to this day, as his beats settle onto larger third-party playlists, garnering thousands of streams. Months later, finally equipped with good music in his holster, KVMTZ blasted his way onto music blogs like Stereofox & popular Youtube music channels, such as nourish.uploads, the bootleg boy, The Jazz Hop Cafe, Fantastic Music & more. These small victories caught the eye of a few prominent indie record labels, culminating in projects such as Dopamine & an upcoming EP with Vinyl Digital, along with a compilation with The Jazz Hop Cafe. The story of this young producer/artist continues to unfold, all while he speaks in the third-person perspective to sound cool. Standby for updates.
