HALANSKi

I’m HALANSKi, a Russian-American artist based in Seattle, Washington. Solid State of Water is about the tension that lies between the Law of God and the Law of Man - and what happens to a society caught speaking both languages at once. It continues the risk I took with my debut album "Russian-American." Instead of a safe introduction, I chose to speak while the world is unraveling - as authoritarianism, war, and violence become normalized, and freedom and love are taken away. I write narrative-driven music that builds worlds not to escape reality, but to confront it. This is an invitation to listen closely - and to find the courage to resist, to stand on the side of life, not death.
