Inspired by real-life tragedies and deeply personal trauma, Wildchains was formed in 2021 in Braga, Portugal by guitarist and songwriter Sérgio “Wizro” Oliveira, as a way to turn pain, memory, and inner conflict into emotionally intense music. Blending the raw weight of modern metal with the timeless backbone of classic rock, the band crafts a sound that is both familiar and confrontational — driven by honesty, tension, and an uncompromising emotional core. A new chapter began with “Another Lie”, followed by “Choke On Shame” — releases that opened a darker narrative shaped by mortality, guilt, and inevitability. Each song acts as a passage through a world where loss, faith, and inner collapse are confronted head-on. With the debut album The Great Fado approaching, Fado emerges as a silent presence — a force tied to fate, longing, and inevitability — shaping the emotional spine of the band’s evolving body of work, where suffering is not resolved, but reshaped into visceral sonic energy. Known for their intense live performances and commanding stage presence, WILDCHAINS turn emotion into movement, distortion, and catharsis — creating shows that are felt as much as they are heard. «WILDCHAINS is tragedy — shaped into sound»
