Jackman Raps

Jackman Raps is music artist born and raised in the city of Flint, Michigan. Beginning at a young age Jackman started experimenting with creating hiphop music in his mother's basement and quickly found a knack for it. Quick cadence’s, structured melodies, and meaningful lyrics helped Jackman grow a fanbase locally early in his career. After working with more artist in the Flint area and co-founding a local collective of musicians dubbed “The Creative Junkies” Jackman began to branch out into new sounds and began to stretch the versatility of his music. "Waves" was his first attempt at branching out. A record with heavy drums laid behind a playful melody, peppered with the goofy, yet somewhat appealing, new singing abilities of Jackman. "Waves" was met with mostly mixed reviews, but those who loved it were left itching to see where Jackman could take his newfound love for melodies & vibrant beats next. Releasing this song turned out to be one of the best decisions Jackman had made yet in his career, it gained the attention of Return Records. A newly founded indie record label in partnership with Sony Music. Jackman signed his first record deal with Return Records in March of 2021, adding to a set of accolades that he has collected across his music career thus far. Since then, Jackman has finished out his contract with Return Records and made the decision to go independent once again, holding onto his artistic freedom & continues to stretch the boundaries of his music.
