I’m Kelashik, an independent music producer and visual designer from Tamil Nadu, India. I was born in Cuddalore and raised in Chennai. My name comes from a small Tamil quirk; if you misspell “Koushik” in Tamil, it reads as “Kelashik.” I started releasing music in 2017 while still in school with The Unknown Artist, a four-track instrumental EP. Since then, I’ve explored a mix of Tamil and English sounds across projects like Pethai OSTs, Wicolian Beats, Nanbargal, Collab Bro, QC, Kadhol, and QC2. In 2020, my Pogadha Di Remixes project earned Asia and India Book of Records recognition for most remixes with multiple artists from my own label. In 2022, Gommala from QC2 went viral, crossing over 4 million streams on Spotify and millions more on YouTube for its playful use of Tamil profanity. Outside of music, I work on visual and motion design, often creating the covers, videos, and promo visuals for my own releases.
