Steph Andrews is a writer, worship leader, and songwriter based in Pittsburgh, PA. Her words— whether sung or written— are rooted in 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, a passage that emphasizes the freedom, intimacy, and transformation that is only possible through a relationship with Jesus. Set against a landscape of cinematic strings, she views her songs as melodic conversations with God that invite others to ask questions, gather close, and discover afresh the One who holds all things together. Her debut solo project, HOW LONG / HOW LOVELY, tells two sides of her recent faith life: a period of feeling distant from God & a new season of being overwhelmed by the nearness of His Presence. With names pulled from Psalms 13 & 84, respectively, HOW LONG / HOW LOVELY is comprised of songs that cover her time at churches in Washington, DC and New York City, songs penned in quarantine on the family farm, as well as her return to Pittsburgh.
