Cashmere Williams began his musical journey at the age of seven, playing in church where he developed a deep sense of musicality and learned the art of blending with other musicians—laying the foundation for his signature sound. In 1995, he was accepted into the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he studied composition and arranging under world-renowned jazz instructors. After two years, he returned to Alabama and independently recorded his first self-titled EP under his label, Lenoah Music Group. Settling in Birmingham, Cashmere refined his craft performing at notable venues such as Ona's Music Room and 22nd Street Jazz Cafe, along with numerous jazz festivals throughout the region. In 2003, he joined Ruben Studdard on a national tour, performing on major television platforms including The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The View, and more. Following the tour, Cashmere returned to the studio to release his third EP, "New Birth," a heartfelt dedication to his daughter, Harmonie. He continued to expand his catalog with the 2018 release "Uptown", a smooth jazz collection blending original compositions with fresh interpretations. Most recently, Cashmere Williams was honored as “Best Male Jazz Artist” by the Alabama Music Awards, recognizing him as one of the state’s premier musical talents.
