I started rapping when I was about 11- 12 yrs old. After I heard the sugar hill gang, I was hooked. Been rapping ever since. Rap is just a form of poetry. Had a CPL chances to be signed when I was in my late teens. Had a few shows, plus I was a Dj. By 21, I stopped rapping because my mother passed. Then about 4yrs later, I picked up the mic. I knew finance, so the deals that were coming my way, were not good. I wasn't about to create the work and just because you market it, I get pennies. I'm not gonna just willingly give up my masters. Just don't sound right. So, I never signed. Had a few pieces go to radio, tv, and a few other things. I've wrote over 600+ songs. I'm 48 now. I've released 14 albums since 2002. My first album was a group album. NBC posse was the group. I adopted the name as a company. My first release was called "Impression". My impression of hip-hop when I had stopped rapping. This was late 2001. Released as a 2002. Then I made "Speechless - Prelude 2 Armageddon". for the 2002 year. I made money off that one. I also knew the money i made off that one. I sure wasn't thinking of reinvestment. Its still been a grind. I love it, I do it because I have something to say. Some people say, "your to old to be trying to still make it as a rapper". I'm like, shid. I still do it because I can. Money is cool too!. Check it out. https://open.spotify.com/artist/3Rb7r... www.thelegendkc.com
