James Frost is an independent British folk artist whose delicate, fingerpicked guitar and dreamlike lyrics have attracted support from BBC 6Music, Glastonbury Festival and Arts Council England. His sound is reminiscent of artists like Ben Howard, Nick Mulvey, Damien Rice, Xavier Rudd and Ben Harper... songwriters that play with sensitivity, heart and a collective spirit. He has toured extensively, playing shows with Martha Tilston, James Yorkston, Tiny Ruins and many other folk heroes, alongside festival appearances at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness and Folk East. In the studio, James has been privileged enough to work with legendary record producer Clive Langer (David Bowie, Elvis Costello etc) who contributed production to his first EP ‘Nameless’. Upon release, the title track was chosen as one of BBC 6Music Tom Robinson’s picks of the week, leading to a session for BBC Introducing and a sold out launch event at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters. His new album 'All Of Our Hands' was funded via a huge Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign and mixed in LA by producer John Hendicott. Guest vocalists include Kyla Jade (American gospel singer, finalist on ‘The Voice’ USA), Carmody (London-based vocalist who collaborates with Tom Misch) and gospel choir ‘Soul Of The City’, as part of an international line up of over 100 musicians and singers who contributed. www.jamesfrostmusic.com
