Yana Couto

Yana Couto is a pianist, composer and a producer from Poland. After four years of music discovery and improvising, in 2014 she released her first music album Colors, including nine songs for piano. A year later, Yana released an EP “Cities”, including five instrumental tracks. She then took a step towards exploring various music genres and instrumentations, writing ensemble music and orchestra work. In 2021 she released her first piano book, capturing music notes from the first album. Yana is composing a variety of songs for independent projects, theatre, film and advertisement. Her compositions are an exploration of leitmotifs and simple melodies evoking feelings and images. Instrumental pieces are created in a minimalist convention, sprinkled with Slavic romanticism and gentleness.
