I began playing in local bands and started studying music in Los Angeles at the Grove school at night. Basic improvisation classes and this led to a full time one year program of Composing and Arranging. After that, I applied to the Berklee College of Music and graduated with honors. I didn't try to, I was just into it! At this time I was writing my own music and had a band that would play around the Boston area. Coming back to Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to become involved in the recording studio scene, even played at Universal Studios for a TV show. I was a member of the recording class at the Grove school., recording the students arrangements. This led to becoming a. member of Marilyn McCoos band and then the 5th Dimension reunited and I toured with them for 2 years. We did a lot of TV shows. The Pat Sajack show and Arsenio Hall were a few. Prior to that I was invited to join Japanese "Superpop" group, Shonentai. My first overseas paid gig. After leaving the 5th Dimension, I played in a passageway in Pasadena with a trio and got signed to a record deal. This began my recording career. I eventually formed my own record label and have maintained it to this day, releasing now over 8 Full Albums. I played the USC Jazz festival with Ravi Coltrane and Joe LaBarbara. 2 of my records, Groove Time and Midnight Passion both charted on Billboard. I taught Logic Pro X at the RRFC in L.A. and continue to pursue my passion. I have received ASCAPs talent award 5 times.
