Arjuna Rookantha is a multitalented musician, a singer-songwriter and a composer from Sri Lanka, whose talents and the passion to experiment has translated into a unique form of music and self-expression. Pursuing music at a very young age, he began his career at the age of 13 performing for the 1st time as a vocalist in a band. Raised in a family of musicians and with an early display of immense talent, Arjuna was trained musically and given opportunities to perform at a very young age. His breakthrough into the mainstream media came when he performed on Sirasa Super Star season 3 (A celebrated reality show in Sri Lanka) becoming the runner up in the competition. His performances left a memorable mark on the audience and his first single ‘Sodi Lama Hasa’ was a significant success in 2011 and his song 'Prathiraawe' achieved international reach within the South Asian diaspora when it was featured on the BBC Asian Network playlist in the UK.
