Be Svendsen

After almost a decade deep into touring and with an even longer period of studio production behind him, Be Svendsen didn’t deliver an official debut album until 2018. His “Between a Smile and a Tear” emerged into the world as a fully formed statement—its release met with global acclaim, followed by an extensive cycle of performing festival stages and transcontinental tours; playing tours through Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Africa. His unique soundscape resembled in his body of work throughout the years has been hard to describe or to place in a distinct box. The low slung, funk and sample driven, trip-tech-esque electronica works have often been described as “Tarantino-techno” as belonging to a similar creative dimension as the celebrated movie director.
