Oritsé Williams

Oritsé Williams is a multi-platinum-selling artist, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur widely recognised as the founder of the internationally acclaimed group JLS. As the driving force behind the group, Oritsé helped steer JLS to extraordinary success, with five UK number one singles, a BRIT Award, five MOBO Awards, and over 10 million records sold worldwide. His vision, songwriting, and performance style were central to the group’s rise as one of the UK’s most loved pop phenomena. Since transitioning to his solo career, Oritsé has forged a distinct artistic path he defines as Afro Island Sounds; a fusion of Afrobeats, Caribbean rhythms, R&B, and soul. Beyond the accolades, Oritsé has established himself as a songwriter with an instinct for powerful lyrics, emotive melodies and global sounds. His craft spans across various genres-blending sounds, and he has collaborated with leading producers, writers and performers. Notable projects include the self-produced docu-film *"Britain’s Youngest Carers"* commissioned by Channel 4 and the radio documentary *"Kids Who Care,"* which reached over 95 million listeners worldwide on BBC World Service. With a catalogue that bridges chart-topping pop, Afrobeats, R&B and soul, and a career that continues to evolve, Oritsé Williams proves that reinvention is his superpower. From leading JLS to pioneering his Afro Island sounds, he continues to set the standard for artistry, vision and authentic storytelling in music.
