EMA is a singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Music has been my passion since I was 8 years old. I've always been in love with singing and performing live. After spending years learning music theory and performance arts, I've never felt that I can truly be an artist, that it was too hard - and that there was always something that would get in the way of my success. Recently, I released 'Friendly Reminder,' my debut EP that I was working on for the last 3-4 years of my life. The EP consists of 4 songs - which takes the listener on a journey through the eyes of a strong young woman, who was in a relationship with a man which seems to be perfect in the beginning, but then becomes difficult and hard to keep up with as she realizes there's more to him than she had thought. I wrote all the songs on the EP, taking experiences and feelings out of my own life, and crafting every lyric to ensure that it is just as relatable to me as it is to hundreds of women around the world.
