Primabot

Primabot is the solo electronic project of producer and multi-instrumentalist Guillaume Métras. Imagine a fusion between Massive Attack and Thylacine, that’s the hybrid space where Primabot comes to life. Launched in 2019, the project quickly established itself as a singular presence in the electronic landscape. Guillaume freely explores the blending of aesthetics: deep techno, tribal grooves, and funk influences. Primabot draws as much from classic analog techniques as from modern electronic tools, crafting music that is both dance-driven and introspective. A skilled musician and accomplished technician, Guillaume shapes each track as a fragment of its own universe. Styles meet, touch, and intertwine until they find their natural balance. Powerful female vocals, engaged lyrics, and urban influences reinforce this hybrid identity, one that doesn’t quite fit within the usual electronic categories. On stage, Primabot Live becomes a full-scale experience. By placing analog instruments and physical musical gesture (guitar, percussion, vocals, machines) at the core of his performances, Guillaume asserts an organic approach to electronic live music. He draws on his entire technical palette to transmit emotion in real time, offering a vibrant alternative to DJ sets while retaining the energy of a club. His shows open up a space for dance, controlled trance, and collective celebration. In 2026, Primabot will unveil a ten-track album, the most ambitious project of his career.
