Illegal State of Mind is a dub music producer and solo artist project by Jakub Krysakowski, based in a home studio in Poland. The music is rooted in dub and moves into dubstep, psydub, psychill, downtempo, ambient and experimental bass music. Melodica, bass, synthesizers, delay and reverb are the main ingredients. Some tracks are calm and spacious, others heavier and more psychedelic, but dub remains the foundation underneath everything. Bass guitar is also part of the channel. Jakub is a bass player, so alongside finished tracks you'll find bass jams, improvisations and other bass-focused experiments. New music is uploaded regularly, aimed at listeners into dub, dubstep, psydub, psychill, downtempo and experimental bass music, as well as anyone who enjoys deep bass, chillout and instrumental electronic music in general. Illegal State of Mind is fully independent — no label, sponsor or marketing team. Watching, sharing, adding tracks to playlists and sending them to people who might enjoy them genuinely helps the music travel further. DIY electronic instruments are another part of the project.
