DOTTi The Deity is a leading voice among the latest crop of musical talents springing out of the buzzing music scene in Southwestern Nigeria. DOTTi The Deity is an award winning, highly creative singer/songwriter, and recording & performing artiste. Wielding his uniquely strong, and skilled vocals, he is not scared to borrow from the sound of the "lost era" of Nigerian music to create a fresh and timeless sound. He often says he “makes music for the future inspired by the past.” He hails from the ancient city of Ibadan but grew up in Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria, where he began to hone his musical talent. He composed his first song at age six while playing at the dining table in his Grandfather's house. Later growing up to draw inspiration from different genres of music he was exposed to, from Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Yoruba Folk, and Pop music, creating his own unique blend of sound which is his own contribution to the larger Nigerian music movement.
