The psychedelic rock band Ir Visa Tai Kas Yra Gražu Yra Gražu (aka IVTKYGYG or as fans simply call them "Gražuoliai" in English - The Handsomeones ) boldly experiments with such non-standard music as free jazz, jazz-rock, world music, experimental and industrial rock. The group firmly retains the position of non-commercial rock leaders and arranges frequent concerts in the capital and in other cities. A selective and educated audience supports the experimental spirit of the group, and the crowded concerts take place in spaces for alternative music. The early and unexpected death of vocalist Baras (the band was founded in 1987 by filmmaker Artūras Barysas-Baras, and artist Artūras Šlipavičius) was a great challenge for the band. But after a short pause an alternative music old-timer Arvydas Makauskas-Makys became the new vocalist. During the concerts, the group's goal is not only to delight the audience with old classics ("Šunparkis", "Margis", "Senis", etc.) but also with new compositions, also – to involve the audience in phantasmagoric performances. To make the effect even stronger they often use washing and sewing machines, video installations, and their own made instruments such as Haruspikas, exotic string instruments from distant countries. When in our country as well as abroad we see flourishing marginal values and devalued musical taste, we can safely say that IVTKYGYG is not only a prominent art phenomenon of Lithuania but also a national treasure.
