I don't expect anyone to truly understand me, Anything Box or endpop in general. I'm an outsider, a rule-breaker, an anarchistic robot wielding multi-creator with style. But that's not me bragging. I'm too busy creating things to stop and truly look. But if you must know more about Anything Box or me, Claude. Just poke around. You'll see... The New York Village Voice once described the sound of Anything Box, (also known as Abox by its loyal fan-base) as, “A multifarious pile-up… Part Poly Rock, part Krautrock, with some of the loveliest, most cunningly arranged pop music around…” Call it Synthpop, Synthwave, or a No-Wave fusion of Joy Division-meets-The Beatles. All fit, and yet all fail to describe the emotional energy of the music and its creator. Claude S. was born in Rosario, Argentina and currently lives in Long Beach, California. He still writes and records meaningful electronic music as Anything Box, the moniker he lifted from a book of Sci-Fi stories. Following the footsteps of the experimentalists of the 1960s and the New Music scene of the late 80s, Claude has set out to conquer the world using love and machines. “Anything Box is a time machine of ‘self-made culture,” Claude says. But what he means is open to questioning. So subscribe and ask!
