12 O’Clock Club is the contemporary jazz fusion project of London bassist and composer Antonio Val. Built around groove, improvisation and strong melodic identity, the music draws from jazz, funk, soul, fusion and cinematic soundworlds without settling into a single genre. Bass-led writing sits at the centre, giving the pieces their pulse and direction, while the arrangements leave space for colour, atmosphere and the spontaneity of the musicians involved. Antonio’s background as a session musician — including performances with artists such as The Streets and Lily Allen — feeds into a project that feels both crafted and instinctive. 12 O’Clock Club brings together expressive playing, detailed composition and a restless sense of curiosity, creating instrumental music that feels immediate, human and emotionally direct. The result is music that moves between precision and freedom, atmosphere and intensity — searching for the place where composition, performance and feeling become inseparable.
