Mustafa Isakovic

MUSTAFA ISAKOVIC (Qaari’, Qur’aan reciter, singer, composer) is a Sarajevo-based popular interpreter of Islamic devotional music. Mustafa’s records and public performances are dedicated to revitalizing the rich heritage of Bosnian Muslim music traditions while imbuing the venerated forms with fresh cultural references and new historical relevance. As an imam, he devotes his life to the community service while as a singer and performer he lends his voice to expressions that blend art with perennial, human cravings for finding value and meaning in everyday life. He lives and works by the principle that a human without feelings is as good as dead, faith without emotions is flat, and art without feelings inevitably fails.
