Vijayaraja Marimuthu, known professionally as Heart Killer Beats, is a music producer, composer, songwriter and remixer from Pudukkottai, India. His story began with a passion for music and no access to formal music education. At 16, he turned to YouTube to teach himself music production. With an old laptop, a pair of headphones and a small space at home, he began learning, experimenting and creating music from scratch. At 17, he released his debut single, “Unthan Nyabagam Vazhi Nadathum.” What started as self-learning soon grew into a journey across independent music, Tamil hip-hop, electronic music, R&B, trap, lofi and cinematic production. In 2020, he co-founded The Elem3nts, an independent record label created to represent Tamil hip-hop and independent artists. Since then, Heart Killer Beats has worked across original music, remixes, recreations, songwriting, background scores and sound design, collaborating with artists and projects connected with Saregama India, Sony Music India and Divo Music. With millions of views and streams across digital platforms, his work continues to reach audiences beyond the independent music scene. From learning music on YouTube with an old laptop to building a career in music production, Heart Killer Beats represents a self-made journey driven by curiosity, persistence and a constant desire to create something new.
