Eylem grew up in London, where she developed a love for performing, poetry, and songwriting. She studied Performing Arts and attended VocalTech (now BIMM), winning acting roles and joining the all-female group Steamy Knights. The group held a residency at the London Arena as the house act for the London Knights ice hockey team and was shortlisted for the UK’s Eurovision 2003 entry with “First Night.” Eylem later recorded solo demos, one of which became an underground hit in Turkey. After a standout live performance at a festival in Cyprus, she signed with Turkish label Dokuz Sekiz Müzik, releasing three albums and a single. Her 2006 debut Aman sold over 100,000 copies, producing four hit singles and winning four awards. Follow-up album Bir Sonraki (Next) (2008) yielded two more hits and won Best Album at the 2009 Kıbrıs’ın En İyileri Ödül Töreni (Best in Cyprus Awards). She released single “2010 Istanbul” and the album Bugün Burda (Today is Here) in 2011. In 2011–12, Eylem served as an ambassador for Lycamobile, later taking a break from performing. Her music continued to gain exposure, including a feature in Homeland (Season 5, Episode 1 – “Separation Anxiety”). Now reinvigorated, Eylem is creating new material and looks forward to connecting with fans at her upcoming performances.
