BILBAO formed in 2020 in Hamburg, Germany and quickly gained a loyal fanbase all over the country. Their mix of indie pop and hip hop sampling is influenced by bands like Bombay Bicycle Club, Bloc Party and Phoenix. Their intense live shows have already brought BILBAO appearances at major festivals, such as Southside, Highfield, Tempelhof Sounds, MS Dockville, About You Pangea, Deichbrand, as well as international festival shows like BBK Live in Spain and Eurosonic in the Netherlands. After skyrocking into the indie pop world with their debut album "Shake Well" in 2022, BILBAO now marks a new milestone with their brand new single “2002“ feat. Willow Parlo (out March 15th). “2002“ is the band's most emotional song to date, reminiscent of old Britpop greats such as Oasis or The Verve. Paired with the gentle voice of Willow Parlo singer Noëmi, the song is sure to resonate with listeners of Phoebe Bridgers or boygenius. Enchanting and dreamy, the track is an ode to liberation from old patterns and an encouragement to set off into the new and unknown without fear. BILBAO manages to wrap serious topics of a young generation in light indie pop melodies and turns big feelings into a wild mosh pit. This band than just another indie band. It's the echo of a generation that wants more, feels more, dares more.
