WAALE is a Nigerian independent artist, sound engineer and creative whose sound sits at the intersection of Trap, Hip-Hop and Afro-fusion. Drawing from influences including Playboi Carti and Kanye West, WAALE approaches music through a distinctly modern lens, combining atmospheric production, rhythmic energy, lifestyle themes and an emphasis on individuality. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, WAALE has developed his identity around ambition, self-belief and the pursuit of personal freedom. His music reflects the tension between where he comes from and where he intends to go, creating a sound that is both rooted in his environment and deliberately unconcerned with fitting into a single category. His catalog includes the Lord of the New Age EP, released in August 2025, as well as Trap.5 and singles including “Erujeje.” Lord of the New Age introduced his Hip-Hop/Afro-Trap direction through records such as “Folake,” “Anita,” “SOMEWHERE,” “Try Me” and “Timbo,” with guest appearances from LUVSWARJEEZUZ, Yam$ and Coded Badboy. Beyond recording, WAALE is an active performer and multidisciplinary creative, with live performance experience including Flex & Flow, while also working across fashion, visual direction and technology. His creative work extends through ARCHEM, an ecosystem built around music, fashion, culture and creative development.
