Carambolo is a fusion of latin american rock, jazz and electronic. Although the project is influenced by Björk, Radiohead and other alternative musicians from the 1990s and 2000s, the traces of argentine rock of the 70s and 80s is substantial and the rich variety of rhythms from Colombia and Latin-america also influence their music, combining varied genres with poetical and carefully written texts. Antonio's compositions stand out with rhythmic modulations, giving the project a progressive profile. Carambolo's vocals carry the characteristic hue of Latin American rock, reflecting the lyricism and style of legendary singers like Gustavo Cerati, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Charly García and Pedro Aznar. Born and raised in Colombia and now based in Germany, Antonio's background and curiosity for different cultures shows clearly in Carambolo's music.
