John Simon

John Simon is a 53-year-old author and songwriter living in Guthrie, Oklahoma. For twenty-two and a half years he earned his living as an over-the-road truck driver, logging countless miles across the country. When health challenges forced him to leave the road, he turned fully to the creative work that had long been part of his life. Today John writes science fiction, westerns, and fantasy-lore, drawing on the wide open spaces, long nights, and human stories he encountered while driving. He is also an active songwriter, channeling the same restless spirit and storytelling instinct into music. From his home in Guthrie, Oklahoma, John continues to craft tales that blend adventure, imagination, and the grit of real experience.
