BAL-SAGOTH was conceived by vocalist/lyricist Byron Roberts in the late 1980s as a symphonic black/death metal band based upon a lyrical concept of dark fantasy & science-fiction, inspired by the celebrated style of the grand pulp horror and fantasy literature of the 1930s. Since the band's formal inception in 1993, BAL-SAGOTH have released an epic hexalogy of six albums. All hail the lords of baroque Britannic extreme metal!
