Farooque Bhai Project is the brainchild of Toronto based Bangladeshi alt-pop artist Issa Farooque. He came into prominence in 2018 with the release of his critically acclaimed debut album Obostha Bujhe Bebostha. The first single off it - Shokaleo is a radio favourite in Bangladesh and features in the Netflix movie “Sincerely Yours, Dhaka”. With Golapi - a funk-pop radio hit, he shows his diversity as a musician. The new EP Gin Bhoot Tonic serves as Farooque Bhai’s depiction of BANGLA POP in 2020. With 4 tracks of 4 different sub-genres, Farooque Bhai describes it as his experimentation with a plethora of pop sounds - while keeping groove as the foundation. Using the gifts of his unique style, quirky lyrics and super catchy melodies - Farooque Bhai Project is a VIBE that keeps you dancing for days. The new sound. Dushtami Sharakhon.
