Beau Cruz's path to becoming a DJ and Music Producer has been anything but normal. The 26-year-old Long Island native started off rubbing shoulders with the world's biggest artists before even releasing his first song. As the youngest Head of Talent at Surf Lodge he’s gotten close to artists like Zedd, The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Fisher, Lauv, Purple Disco Machine, and many more. “Spending time with successful artists has shown me that they’re human beings, too. It’s helped me put my doubts aside,” But Cruz has a long familial history in deejaying and music. His grandfather, Josh Cruz, started off in a mariachi band in Puerto Rico. However, just before the pandemic, Beau’s life changed when he lost his mother to cancer. “We spent that whole year inside, not just in isolation but in grief,” he reflects. While processing, Beau found the courage to leave finance and pursue music. Beau took a job at Surf Lodge and built his following in Montauk and their Aspen location Snow Lodge.
