Jhay-know started writing songs at the age of 17. However, due to poverty and because he worked as a farmer in the mountainous area of Bukidnon, he did not have the opportunity to record his songs. Driven by his passion for music, he persevered until he finally had the chance to record his original compositions with his group, RVW, at the age of 26. Today, Jhay-know and his group have their own recording equipment at home. As he continued creating songs that ordinary people could relate to, his music was discovered and played on various radio stations across the Visayas and Mindanao. Later, Jhay-know learned to produce his own beats and instrumentals for his songs. To this day, he continues to create music in various genres and earns enough to provide for his family's needs.
