Sincere is a musician from Peckham, South London. Born to parents of Jamaican and Bajan heritage, Sincere was no stranger to the beat of the drum. Music, as he recalls, was one of the most significant forces in his formative years, besides his Islamic faith. He was found to be a natural performer early-on, after amazing school staff with a rendition of Disney’s Out of The Box Goodbye Song on a set of bongo drums. From there his musical ability grew, and he began learning various instruments of percussion, guitar, piano, and even steel pans. During this time, Sincere learned his ability to sing and was soon the youngest and only male addition to the school choir. He travelled nationwide performing recitals, concerts and theatre productions, once at the famous Globe Theatre. As he grew older, he struggled with his breaking voice and was left to develop another skill on his own. Muhammad reinvented himself, with a new persona as a rapper. This transition from primary to secondary education saw an adjustment in his artistry. He earned respect as a rising MC on the underground circuit, gaining popularity with lyrics that reflected the grim reality of the South London streets he walked. Sincere quickly became a go-to for real-life content, described by some as “Street Poetry”. The eventual release of his first single, The Owner in November 2018 garnered the attention of thousands, distinguishing him as a promising talent to pay attention to.
