Cybophonia

Cybophonia is the brainchild of Eros Minichiello, behind the Swiss label Stereolake Records. Eros is a musician, producer, and DJ, based in the Italian-speaking area of Switzerland. As well as creating soundtracks for films, TV, and radio, he has released records for the Italian label Irma Records: an album titled "Cybophonia" (in 2000), a pair of 12” EPs ('Azona Pop' in 2001 and 'Cut & Paste' in 2002) and several singles and remixes. In 2007 Cybophonia released the EP 'Slide In' and in 2014 an album titled 'Spinning' (an eclectic collection of nu-disco, electronica, downtempo, indie pop, hip hop, funk, and nu-jazz). 2021 is the year of the return, with the singles 'Without Delay', 'Shine Out', and 'Tomorrow', followed by the album 'Bloom' (out 11th June 2021). The new tunes were born from a strong need to come back, experimenting with different forms of songwriting, with an organic approach. Eros resurrected his voice and embraced his old acoustic and electric guitars, minimizing the digital input and cut-and-paste style that characterized all his previous projects. He moved away from the EDM genres, to revisit his youth passion for indie guitar pop. After the release of "Bloomed" in 2022, a collection of remixes and unreleased songs, Cybophonia returns in 2024 with two singles, "The Dark Side of Our Minds" and "Sunday Travel Round," followed by an album titled "Nothing More", set to be released on September 13th.
