December Streets have spent more than a decade making indie anthems built for sweaty festival crowds, late-night drives and the kind of choruses people scream back at you. With songs like *Santa Fe, Magic, Wild Heart, Kick Start* and *Last Forever*, they became one of South Africa’s most recognisable alternative acts; melodic, restless and impossible to keep still on stage. Now they’re tearing up the blueprint. 2026 marks a new era for December Streets: darker, dirtier and more visceral, without losing the hooks that got them here. Guitars are louder. Edges are rougher. The songs feel less concerned with being perfect and more interested in being alive. After revisiting their biggest single with the intimate *Last Forever (Stripped Down)*, the band kicked the door open with *THE GOOD LIFE*; a rebellious anthem about refusing mediocrity, complacency and the version of life you’re told to settle for. 3 new EP's arrive early 2027, followed by a nationwide tour. At the centre of it all are still four friends chasing the same thing they were chasing at the start: that electric moment when a song suddenly becomes bigger than the people who wrote it.
