Chris Brain

Chris Brain is a contemporary folk singer-songwriter who has placed his feet firmly in UK Folk scene with his debut album "Bound to Rise." The album peaked at #22 in the Official UK Folk Charts and received outstanding reviews from press, radio, and newspapers, with BBC Radio 6's Tom Robinson praising it as an "acoustic gem." Inspired by 70s fingerstyle folk music legends such as Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, and Bert Jansch, Chris incorporates similar open tunings, melancholic chords, and progressions in his music. His lyrics are based on nature and meditations on the natural world, creating a sound that is both beautiful and introspective. In addition to his musical talents, Chris is also a passionate folk music enthusiast. He founded the Hyde Park Folk Club in Leeds, which has become a staple of the UK folk touring circuit and hosts the annual Hyde Park Folk Festival.
