"My music is a blend of eternal sadness and hope. I am certain that we can find our light by embracing our darkness". Nadia Kodes is a singer-songwriter and pianist from Saint-Petersburg, Russia currently based in New York, USA. She is best known for her piano-based rock tracks, pure voice and raw expression of emotion. Kodes has been compared to artists like Tori Amos and Amy Lee and her life has been nothing but a spectacular journey: from winning competitions and being on MTV to going through depression, witnessing world conflicts and wars, losing herself and finding inner peace again. In 2023 Nadia released a single with an American metal band October Noir and Forever Haunt became one of the most popular songs for both artists. The new album Pitch Dark, Red Light (2024) is inspired by Nadia's personal story. It's a collection of seven tracks celebrating strength in overcoming fears, while also exploring the sensitive side and fragility of human nature. Songs like Sinner (Just Like You) and Never Lost Again are powerful, yet gothic and melancholic.
