Permanent fatal error is a project by Olivier Manchion, Ulan Bator founder member (1993-2001) and long time Faust collaborator. PFE first album is entitled "Law Speed" and was released in 2004 by Wallace Records, Klangbad (of Faust core member Hans-Joachim Irmler) and Ruminance, followed by "Deaf sun / Deaf Blues" (2015) on Secret Furry Hole. The musician defines this music as "deaf-blues" (file under "post-rock"). The project turned later into solo or duo performances like Pop Montreal festival or Santarcangelo festival with live video by Andrea Bernabini. In the same years he was touring with Damo Suzuki of CAN in France (as part of the "French Doctors" collective) and Italy. After "Deaf Sun..." he disappeared for years. He's now working on a new album to be released in 2026.
