Max Dahlhaus

Berlin-based audio-visual artist and producer Max Dahlhaus crafts a unique narrative through immersive sound and visuals. Embracing contrast—emotion and abstraction, opulence and minimalism—his dystopian, cinematic sound defies easy categorization. Blending field recordings with experimental cello, Dahlhaus builds vast sonic landscapes marked by subtle precision and masterful mixing. His evocative visual work deepens the sensory experience, adding layers of meaning and introspection. Beginning as a DJ in 2009 and shifting to live performance in 2017, Dahlhaus has released four albums, numerous EPs, and remixes on labels like Opal Tapes, Infinite Machine, Over My Body, and more. He’s performed at CTM Festival, Tresor Club, and recently completed his first Asia tour. His CYCHOTIC live show—featured on tour—returns alongside CYCHOTIC 2.0, a new collaboration with visual artist defasten, pushing the boundaries of live AV performance. Now, Dahlhaus prepares to release his next LP, ONEIRIC, on Over My Body—a detailed sonic journey built from fragmented memories, organic textures, and synthetic rhythms. A new album tour with an expanded audiovisual show will accompany the release, continuing his exploration of immersive creative expression.
