Bokassa

Not one to be bothered by trends, masks, matching outfits or whatever else that seems to be popular, Norway's Bokassa aim to please themselves more than anything. Still they've managed to try deep fried pizza in Scotland, cheese fondue in the Alps, several different sorts of Pepsi and also play some of the world's biggest festivals, tour all over Europe, UK and Scandinavia, and support acts such as Judas Priest, Clutch and Mastodon, to name a few. And of course Metallica. In 2019 they were picked from complete obscurity by Lars Ulrich to support Metallica on stadiums all over EU, UK and Russia. Ulrich hailed them as "his favourite new band" and described them as "Insanely fucking cool" after hearing the trios first album Divide & Conquer. Since then they’ve been nominated for a Norwegian Grammy (and lost), won the prestigious Bendiksenprisen from their fellow Norwegian musicians for their excellent live performances, and released three more albums. The self proclaimed "Kings of Stonerpunk" keep on fusing everything they love about rock, punk and metal into their very own unique sound!
