Adi Verma

Experience cultivates the most heartfelt art, not only because it symbolises the emotion but also strengthens the message. At the age of 7 when he touched his very first instrument, Music became Adi's passion. However, it also became a way of expression after he was diagnosed with Leukemia at an early age. To him Music symbolises hope and strength. Missing out on years of school and friends, it became the only thing he could truly connect to. It gave him the power and motivation to push his limits and inspired him to find the light in the darkest of days. By the time he was in his teens he had picked up tabla, drums, Cajon, Dhol and Congo. At the age of 16, he was the youngest member of a rock band, 'Riyaaz'. In the span of two years they participated in numerous competitions and performed at various open mics. As the time for college came around, Adi tried to pursue a degree in BBA at Christ University but nothing could keep him away from his passion. So he decided to dropout and join True School of Music, Mumbai to pursue a dual Major degree in Music production and Drums. 'Raahi' is the first song written, composed and produced by him. It draws on his life experiences and captures the complexities of relationship and the emptiness they leave in their passing. No matter what stage of the loss you might be in, this song allows you to feel the emotions, relieving your heart of their heaviness so that there is space for you to travel on to more fulfilling paths of life.
