Sam Ashworth is a three-time Grammy-nominated songwriter, artist, and producer whose work spans genres and generations. Born in Sacramento and raised in Nashville, he grew up in the studio alongside his father, Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Charlie Peacock, while fronting his own bands in clubs across the city. Ashworth landed his first major cut at 17, with a song he wrote on his own at 16 appearing on Sixpence None The Richer’s Certified Platinum self-titled album. Over a 25-year career, he has built a body of work defined by emotional depth and melodic instinct — co-writing Andy Grammer’s “Without You” and nine songs on H.E.R.’s I Used to Know Her, including the Grammy-nominated “Hard Place,” contributing to Album and Song of the Year nominations. His work as a songwriter, vocalist, producer, artist, and multi-instrumentalist has generated more than 1.5 billion streams worldwide. In 2021, he won the Critics Choice Award for “Speak Now,” performed by Leslie Odom Jr. in One Night in Miami, which also earned Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations, along with a Grammy nomination for Best Song for Visual Media. As an artist, he has released four solo studio projects and two EPs with his band, @AstronautPushers. His vocals also appear on Dierks Bentley’s quadruple-platinum “Drunk on a Plane” and Norah Jones’s Pick Me Up Off the Floor.
